No Accident
by Nathanael O'Reilly

You were the first woman
I ever saw naked.
I was already twenty-one
And your beauty far exceeded
Anything I’d seen in magazines,
On TV, in the movies -
Even anything I’d imagined.

Looking at you lying naked,
Your curves, your softness,
I could not believe for a moment
Humans were not created -
A perfect form designed
For perfect pleasures
Could surely be no accident.
