Enough And Everything Else
by David Breeden

The western mountains in double layers
Far from the ridge where turquoise
And red adobe houses dot. Concha

y Toro the wine for sunset on the rooftop.
Vino tinto for the show, so easy to paint
The wine, 'rioja' is all. So difficult to paint

The sunset -- red, is all and it's not
Enough. The mountains sinking into smoke,
Into dust like Europeans and their firework

Empires, like dictators in house shoes, balconies
And power. "Sinking" That's what we say of
El Sol. It's not true. Not true at all. Like. Like.

"Enough." Enough and everything else.
