In a Boat
by Rauan (Ron) Klassnik

"President Bush, eager to show hands-on leadership in the Gulf Coast hurricane recovery effort, joined commanders working from a military ship docked in this flooded city on Sunday." (Associated Press)

Here on my roof, in the rising blue I am thinking of him. I am thinking of him in a boat so loaded down with bananas heīs eating them as fast as he can. He is devouring them in an animal lust—— and they are running through him so quick heīs shitting a stream. Yes, his ass is over the side of the boat and the waterīs all brown in a flash. Surely his body canīt take such a dose of potassium. Surely his body is freaking out. But no! Heīs performing like a pro—— a porn star, look! he just gave us a wink, and yes! his body is really turning me on. Has anyone ever gone at it so hard? Ate and crapped so much? I want this moment to last forever. But, finally, the President of the United States of America leans back, gorged and fat, gazing into my eyes. And now he starts to sing:
"Row, Row your boat"
——Everyone now!—— he shouts, leaping to his feet; and I just canīt resist "Merrily Merrily", jumping up and down, in a cloud of mosquitoes and flies—— a buzzing of hooves in silver light—— "Life
is but a dream"
