On Robert Frost
by Bonnie Kennedy

See the still shots in his words,
Lovely scenes inside the verse,
Painting pictures in my mind,
They’re full of voices to be heard.

Golden stories in the lines
Wrapped and tied with clever rhyme,
Intriguing movies on the page
Are ageless moments fixed in time.

Expressing wisdom of a sage,
He does my heart and soul engage
He writes of life that is my own—
He crafts a place I want to stay.

Through snowy woods I’ve never known,
With truths that chill me to the bone,
We take the road less traveled, then
In awe, he takes me home.
He always takes me home.
