Paleoanthropology
by G.L. Pettigrew

A man can be rebuilt
they say
From scraps:
A bone fragment
worn tooth
Possessions carelessly drop:
Needles, stone blades, quivers & such
Shreds of cloth
Reconnect with plaster, glue & hope
Covered in a clay mask
paper mache
new clothes
Till he is, once more
What he once was.
Almost.
