Silent Night
by John Lambremont, Sr,

The night sometimes is so still,
so quiet, you can hear
a sensory reality,
inaudible, but clear:

is it the echoes
of lapping tides
scores of miles
away? or the
mechanical
whirr of
our galaxy
in third gear?
or perhaps

the smug hum
of a content
Infinity.
