Your chapter on emotion and argument

You said that when we are emotional
we are not emotional enough

You write your own story. Much better
than abstractions, much better than a Medieval

Morality play--Lust and Fear
dressed to kill on stage, or maybe even that

is better than analysis, the why and where
of some heuristic.

I read with interest the section concerning your attraction to
an 18-year-old, how the passion was real,

like some magical fire in the air, but neither of you
acknowledged its presence, continuing the dance

of sex, bobbing in and out. I see.
I hear your argument too

I am inside,
as you cross your legs, leaning

into the clean shaven face of this guy
who loves and fears your sharp blue eyes,

your long neck, your hands
that form argument after argument after
