All of Us Many
by Charles Kesler

The next time someone tells you,
“Above all, be yourself,”

tell them we can’t be ourselves;
we are parrots, parodies,

chameleons, cancers, sows, similes,
apes, assonance, Murphy’s, metaphors,

maniacs and more. Tell them we are
too many. Tell them we are Legion.

Go get Jesus.
