Collisions
by Rebecca Fremo

Today in Wisconsin or Minnesota
(it doesn’t matter which),
Loretta Lacy, on her way
to her granddaughter’s recital,
got four speeding tickets
from four different cops.
They clocked speeds
up to 112 miles per hour.
Such arrogance astounded you,
but I live in a world where anyone
might be in that kind of a hurry.
