Fireflies in March
by Chip Dameron
|
We watch
them wink
like stars
at sea
as we
blink back
to play
midsummer ball
under lights,
Dad clapping
hope from
the dugout
while I
wait for
a pitch
to whack
through the
black hole
a firefly
leaves behind.
