Bra Shopping
by Clara Hsu

    On the racks at Macy's
    they do serious business.
    Lace-laden mull stretch,
    support, fill out fantasies,
    manifesting the glory of
    puffed cotton?
    Stuffed oatmeal?
    Liquid gel? What else
    makes budding blooms swell?
    Pearls, sparkles, demurely sprinkled on
    hot pink and mellow yellow.
Little nothing and whopping mama can be
    hard, soft, mold-able, nosh-able!
"You have to train them young
with under wires," said the helpful sales lady.
    Right, puppy dog.
    Come, come!
