On Lightning
by MTC Cronin

A certain amount of vision enters the body not through the eyes. ~•~ The shadows fill the desiring woman as if she were a cup. ~•~ In every age the places where time bleeds into others is known as revolution. ~•~ If you know more from the image than what you have seen in it you will know that lightning entering the lake finds meaning there. ~•~ Storms can often be found at the back of my daughter's throat. If she opens her mouth wide enough I can see a house disappearing into a tornado. ~•~ Terror often comes looking for an empty wall to hang itself on. ~•~ Stand staring at that won't you? ~•~ Isn't it strange how theatrical the flash is? Lighting up the dreamy story of your life.
