I Know When My Mind Ain't Right
by David Samuel Thomas
|
Naked,
rolling in sunrise shore sand--
a drunk merman
suffocating on the beach.
Waves hush anxiety.
An early morning jogger
exercises
her golden retriever.
I giggle--
the sniffing dog nose
tickles my flesh.
I wake
when something warm
bathes my back.
