2000 PUSHCART PRIZE ANTHOLOGY
FROM RED RIVER REVIEW

___A room talks to itself, the man inside doesn't answer, and it raises its voice. Down the hall another room hears this ranting and answers in a raised tone. Neither can understand the other, these two rooms speaking in tongues.
___After a while, the man and a woman emerge from the rooms. They look at each other in the hall, the two rooms still yelling. After making love for a while they each return to their rooms, which, by now, have nothing more to say.
