On a rainy day in the city:
by E.V. Gentry

    Raindrops like jewels, lingering
    clinging to the windows

    Of buses, houses, stubbornly peeking
from the dreary out into the in.

Bleakness that permeates through the walls, like a leak.

The sky,  a grey carpet of clouds
    hanging lower than usual, inducing

    Group claustrophobia, irritability,
    sadness, under the limited sky.
