Your last Note
by Arlene j Yandug

to me is

typewritten.

Brief
as usual.
This time
the fluid wit
is gone.
Spare
like fishbone.

An Rx
portending
symptoms
of final goodbye.

At the bottom
your signature
betrays yourself:

crooked
like tear

heavy
like claws

scratched
on heart’s
walls.
