a morning sun

into dense lotuses where
a song flies up

floating clouds?
two hikers drag their feet
along Highway 82

the drunkard
slips on an iced puddle
moonlight cracks

night train
hoots out the station
into quiet darkness
6
through night fog
headlights glaring
past me
7
a horse-drawn sledge
sliding across the iced lake
in red twilight
