Fire Ants
by Stanley M Noah

They're in my drive-way.

Each day I run over them.

But that only makes them mad

to multiply.

Now they're on the lawn, thousands.

Soon they shall be knocking

on my door as an invasion,

a junta in slow motion. And

then helping themselves

at the dinner table.

Learning my language; and

telling me to past the crumbs

in eloquent, commando raids.
