Disconnect Blues
by Dan Rowell

You've made me lust
for silence. To blend
with the statuary
watching rosebuds
vigor vanish, again.
Maybe one day I'll open
your lightning eye
again. But the sight
of you makes me twitch
like a roach in the throes
of imiprothrin.
In the morning
when you don't respond,
I'll run the sidewalks
to the sun.
