skies opted for november
our languorous northern sunsets
cut
the vegetable world drenched
and every crawling pest blessed_______set loose
who can help loving butterflies?
this year we’ve been schooled
_______in their dizzying variety
they are
_______our flashes_______our embers
______________of a bounteous sun
shedding_______upon our sight
_______(this summer withholding)
grace
