How My Anatomy Has Changed
by Jessy Randall

I no longer mind if you have other friends.
I don't need to convince you of everything.
You are a new kind of necessity –
less necessary but more important.
We are now the supervisors. My anatomy
has changed, drastically, but it’s still
me in here. Once upon a time we wore
each other's clothes. Now we know
too much, not enough. The giant sculptures
of Wolfy's and Superdawg watch over
us and our children. Can their glowing eyes
offer protection? Will the octopus show itself?
It will, and you'll be by my side, or at least
in the same building.
